HIKROBOT MV-CH250-90GN — Area Scan Cameras
25 MP, Gpixel GMAX0505, GigE, NIR, 4.5 fps

The MV-CH250-90GN is the NIR-designated 25 MP model in the GigE branch of the CH series high-resolution family, delivering monochrome pixel formats (Mono 8/10/10Packed/12/12Packed). At its core is the 1.1-inch Gpixel GMAX0505 global shutter CMOS: 5120 × 5120 pixels of 2.5 μm × 2.5 μm, 36 dB SNR and 63 dB dynamic range. Gain adjusts from 0 dB to 24 dB and exposure from 12 μs to 10 seconds, with 4.5 fps available in Mono 8, figures that place the camera in detail-critical fixed stations rather than fast lines.
Mechanically it matches its GigE siblings: 29 mm × 44 mm × 59 mm, about 100 g, C-mount, IP40 and mounting holes on both panels. Gigabit Ethernet provides up to 100 meters without a relay and is compatible with Fast Ethernet; PoE can supply the typical 3.1 W at 12 VDC over the network cable, or a 9 VDC to 24 VDC external supply may be used. The 6-pin P7 connector provides an opto-isolated input, an opto-isolated output and a bi-directional line for hardware, software or free-run triggering, while binning, reverse image output and LSC are reachable through GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam in MVS or third-party software.

Where it is used
The NIR version makes sense where the lighting design relies on near-infrared wavelengths and the camera sits at a distance on the network: wide-field examination of bright metal or glass surfaces that reflect under visible light, checking contents behind dark or printed packaging, and stations near daylight that must not be disturbed by ambient changes. Its 25 MP output at 4.5 fps suits single-frame dimensional analysis of large parts on measurement tables and indexed fixtures. A single PoE cable makes it straightforward to place the camera up to 100 meters from the processing PC.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
