The MV-CH120-60VM is a 12 MP monochrome camera in the USB3.0 branch of the CH series that streams data over dual USB 3.0 interfaces; its 1.1-inch Stacked BSI global shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 μm pixels delivers 4096 × 3000 resolution. With both USB 3.0 lines in use it reaches 60.2 fps in Mono 8. What sets this model apart is its 75.7 dB dynamic range and two distinct gain modes, high full well capacity (0 dB to 21.5 dB) and high sensitivity (0 dB to 24 dB), so saturation headroom or light sensitivity can be prioritised per scene.
The USB 3.0 connection is compatible with USB 2.0, and the dual USB 3.0 interfaces can power the camera; with a typical draw of 3.5 W at 5 VDC a separate supply is not required, though a 9 VDC to 24 VDC external input is available. The 6-pin P7 connector offers an opto-isolated input (Line 0), an opto-isolated output (Line 1) and a bi-directional non-isolated line (Line 2). Gain, exposure time, white balance, LUT, Gamma correction and Sequencer can be adjusted automatically or manually, and mounting holes on both the top and bottom panels of the 29 mm × 44 mm × 59 mm body allow fixing in different orientations. The working range is –10 °C to 50 °C, with USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance.
