The MV-CH120-10GC V5 is a 12 MP color area scan camera from the high-resolution branch of the CH series. Built around the 1.1″ Sony® IMX304 global shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 μm pixels, it delivers 4096 × 3000 frames at up to 9.9 fps in Bayer RG 8 over a Gigabit Ethernet link. A 40 dB SNR, 70.4 dB dynamic range and an UltraShort exposure mode starting at 1 μs give it the headroom to capture large scenes with faithful color.
Power comes either from a 9–24 VDC supply or over PoE, so a single Ethernet cable can carry both data and power; typical draw is 2.3 W at 12 VDC. The 6-pin P7 connector provides one opto-isolated input (Line 0), one opto-isolated output (Line 1) and a bi-directional non-isolated line (Line 2). The 29 × 29 × 42 mm housing has mounting holes on four sides, and the camera follows GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam, so it works with third-party software based on those standards; color-specific tools include white balance, CCM, Super Palette and Super Bayer.

Where it is used
Its 12 MP color output suits tasks where a single frame must cover a wide area in detail: color and registration checks on printed packaging, component presence and polarity verification on assembled boards, and color-based grading of food or agricultural products. At 9.9 fps it is better matched to indexed or stationary stations than to fast continuous lines. PoE makes it straightforward to place the camera at a remote inspection point with one cable.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
