HIKROBOT MV-CS004-11GM — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS004-11GM brings the Sony IMX287 global-shutter sensor to the GigE interface as a 0.4 MP monochrome model, the faster alternative to the IMX297-based 10GM in the small-resolution class of the CS series. It delivers 312.9 fps at 720 × 540 in Mono 8 and, at 43 dB, the highest SNR on this sheet together with 73.6 dB dynamic range. Exposure is set continuously in a single mode from 1 μs up to 10 seconds.
Gigabit Ethernet carries the 312.9 fps Mono 8 stream while permitting up to 100 m of cable without a repeater; PoE gives single-cable installation, or 9–24 VDC applies (typ. 2.2 W at 12 VDC). The opto-isolated input/output and bi-directional Line 2 on the 6-pin P7 connector support hardware trigger, software trigger and free-run, and the sequencer function switches exposure/gain sets frame by frame. The 29 × 29 × 42 mm housing and GigE Vision V2.0 / GenICam compliance make it straightforward to integrate into network-based multi-camera systems.

Where it is used
High SNR and 300+ fps suit fast edge detection on low-contrast surfaces, fill-level checks through transparent packaging and part-position confirmation on presses or cutting machines. The long GigE reach lets the camera sit at a remote point on the line and report to a central processor. With exposure extending to 10 seconds, the same camera also covers static low-light inspections.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
