Telemecanique XXA30P2VM12 is a diffuse ultrasonic sensor from the XXA series of the XX range, with an M30 body and 90° angled head. Nominal sensing distance is 2 m, sensing range 0.155–2 m and blind zone 155 mm. It works at a 120 kHz transmission frequency with 0.1 % repeat accuracy and tolerates a ±12° object deviation from 90°. It has a 0–10 V analog output, runs on a 24 V DC rated supply (14–30 V DC limits) and draws 65 mA. More than 8 sensors can be synchronised by driving pin 5 simultaneously from a PLC output.
Near and far limits are taught with a pushbutton on the white wire, the XXZPB100 remote teach pushbutton or the configurator software. The voltage output requires a load of at least 1 kΩ; the output is overload and short-circuit protected. Joining the grey pin 5 wires synchronises up to 8 sensors side by side. The enclosure is PBT with an epoxy resin and rubber front face; dimensions are 30 × 30 × 129.6 mm, weight 0.1 kg. Protection is IP65 and IP67; operating temperature is -25 – +70 °C.
