HIKROBOT MV-CU200-20GM V2 — Area Scan Cameras
20 MP, AR2020, GigE, Mono, 5.9 fps

For 20 MP monochrome GigE imaging in the cost-effective CU family there is the MV-CU200-20GM V2. Its AR2020 sensor is a 1/1.8″ rolling-shutter CMOS carrying 1.4 μm pixels, 5120 × 3840 resolution and 5.9 fps in Mono 8. The 39 dB SNR and 61 dB dynamic range are complemented by a wide 0 dB to 48 dB gain range and an exposure window from 53 μs to 10 sec.
Data transfer runs on 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet; the camera also works on 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet infrastructure, and GigE’s repeater-free 100-meter distance removes extra hardware on long runs. Energy comes from the 9 VDC to 24 VDC input or via optional PoE, with a typical 2.0 W draw at 12 VDC. Power and I/O merge on one 6-pin P7 connector: an opto-isolated input, an opto-isolated output and a bi-directional non-isolated line, supporting hardware trigger, software trigger and free run. About 100 g, C-mount, GigE Vision V2.0 / GenICam.

Where it is used
This resolution class is used to fit inspection areas that would traditionally be split across several cameras into one monochrome frame: missing or excess material on large mold and casting parts, dot-defect scanning on panel glass and display modules, and digitizing documents and technical drawings. The 5.9 fps rate suits stepped processes where the product is positioned and held. Exposure up to 10 seconds also lets it work in poorly lit static scenes.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
