The MV-CU060-10UM represents the 6 MP monochrome class in the USB3.0 family of the CU series, pairing the Sony IMX178 (1/1.8″, rolling shutter, 2.4 μm × 2.4 μm) with USB3.0 bandwidth to reach 59.6 fps at 3072 × 2048 in Mono 8. With 41.5 dB SNR, 66.4 dB dynamic range, exposure down to 8 μs and 0–24 dB gain, it images both fast and with low noise. What distinguishes this model is the option to push the already high full-resolution frame rate further via ROI and to apply binning.
The USB3.0 interface is USB2.0 compatible and lets the camera run from a single cable at a typical 1.9 W on 5 VDC USB power; a 9–24 VDC external input is also present. Hardware trigger, software trigger and free-run modes, together with the opto-isolated input (Line 0), opto-isolated output (Line 1) and bi-directional non-isolated I/O (Line 2) on the 6-pin P7 connector, give enough flexibility for sensor and lighting synchronization. At 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm and about 76 g it is among the shortest bodies in the family; IP40 protection, C-mount and USB3 Vision / GenICam compliance connect it directly to third-party software.

Where it is used
Roughly 60 frames per second at 6 MP targets tasks that join high resolution with speed: component offset and polarity checks on electronics assembly lines, dimensional measurement of fast-moving metal and plastic parts, and continuous defect scanning on glass and film. Because ROI can raise the frame rate, counting and position tracking of objects moving much faster across a narrow strip are also feasible. USB power and the 30 mm body depth make it easy to embed the camera in portable test instruments and bench-top microscope or review setups.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
