HIKROBOT MV-CU060-10GC — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CU060-10GC brings the color version of the Sony IMX178 into the cost-effective GigE body of the CU series as a 6 MP area scan camera. The 1/1.8″ rolling-shutter CMOS with 2.4 μm × 2.4 μm pixels outputs 3072 × 2048 at 19.1 fps in Bayer RG 8, and its 41.3 dB SNR and 71.3 dB dynamic range translate into clean, well-balanced color channels. Offered with a PoE option, it is an economical entry point for jobs where color detail matters but high frame rates do not.
The Gigabit Ethernet link is Fast Ethernet compatible and covers 100 m without a repeater; the camera runs on 9–24 VDC, and choosing PoE removes the separate power cable, with typical consumption of 1.72 W at 12 VDC. Triggering is available in hardware, software and free-run modes, and the 6-pin P7 connector provides Line 0 as opto-isolated input, Line 1 as opto-isolated output and Line 2 as bi-directional non-isolated I/O. Bayer RG 8/10/10Packed/12/12Packed formats are read through GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam, and the 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm, approximately 100 g C-mount body works with standard lenses and mounting hardware.

Where it is used
A 6 MP color image serves inspections that need both color and fine detail in one frame: pharmaceutical carton and label print verification, wiring-harness color sequence checks, and tone or pattern defect search on textile and leather surfaces. 19.1 fps is enough for classification and quality checks of stationary or slowly advancing products, while the wide dynamic range helps on packaging that mixes glossy reflections with matte regions. Single-cable installation via PoE makes it easier to connect scattered camera points along long lines.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
