HIKROBOT MV-CU016-10GM V2 — Area Scan Cameras
1.6 MP, Sony IMX296, GigE, Mono, 65.8 fps

MV-CU016-10GM V2 carries the same Sony® IMX296 sensor data as its sibling — 1440 × 1080 resolution, 3.45 μm × 3.45 μm pixels, 1/2.9″ global-shutter CMOS, 65.8 fps in Mono 8 — and identical 41 dB SNR, 74 dB dynamic range and 0–24 dB gain. Where the sheets differ is in the environmental and link details: storage is rated to 80 °C, and the interface is specified as 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet compatibility. As a 1.6 MP mono GigE camera it sits at the sensor-quality end of the affordable CU series, with both UltraShort (1–14 μs) and standard (15 μs–10 s) exposure modes.
Integration follows the GigE CU pattern: one Ethernet cable of up to 100 m without relay for data, PoE (optional) or 9–24 VDC for power, and a 6-pin P7 connector carrying opto-isolated input Line 0, opto-isolated output Line 1 and bidirectional Line 2. Trigger modes are hardware, software and free run, and gain/exposure can be automatic or manual, so pairing the UltraShort mode with a hardware strobe pulse is straightforward. The camera draws about 2 W at 12 VDC, measures 29 × 29 × 42 mm, weighs roughly 100 g, accepts C-mount lenses (IP30 when fitted) and complies with GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam for use with standard vision libraries.

Where it is used
Tablet and capsule inspection, connector pin checks and code reading on shiny foil or metal all profit from the IMX296’s 74 dB dynamic range, which holds detail in both the glare and the shadows. With 1440 × 1080 pixels at 65.8 fps the camera keeps pace with most indexing and continuous-motion lines while offering enough resolution for presence, position and simple gauging on parts a few centimeters across. The 80 °C storage rating and 100 m PoE reach suit machines built for export or installed far from the control cabinet.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
