MV-CE050-30UC moves the CE Series up from the 1.3 MP class: it’s built around an Aptina AR0521 rolling shutter CMOS sensor and reaches 44.7 fps at 2592×1944. With a 2.2 μm pixel size on a 1/2.5″ format, plus 40 dB SNR and 60 dB dynamic range, it targets color imaging tasks that need more detail than the entry models. HIKROBOT lists this model under ‘Delisting Preparation’.

It operates over USB3.0 (USB2.0-compatible); the 6-pin Hirose connector combines power and I/O — one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output, one bidirectional line — in a single cable, and the camera can be powered at 12 VDC or directly from the USB3.0 bus. Rich pixel-format support (Bayer, YUV422, RGB/BGR) simplifies integrating the color data into different software pipelines. USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance work directly with the MVS client and third-party software, and M2 screw holes secure the USB cable.

Key features

  • Supports auto and manual adjustment for gain, exposure control, LUT, Gamma correction, etc.
  • Supports hardware triggering, software triggering and free run mode.
  • Adopts M2 screw holes for securing cable that connects USB3.0 interface.
  • Compatible with USB3 Vision Protocol, GenICam Standard, and the third-party software based on these protocol and standard.

Where it is used

The 2592×1944 color resolution paired with a mid-range 44.7 fps offers a balanced fit for applications needing both detail and speed — packaging/label print inspection, color-based part sorting, and moderately detailed dimensional measurement. It also suits color component verification on electronics assembly lines.

Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
