HIKROBOT MV-CB120-10GM-S — Area Scan Cameras
12 MP, Sony IMX226, GigE, Mono, 9.7 fps

The MV-CB120-10GM-S is a 12 MP monochrome area-scan camera in HIKROBOT’s CB Series board-level family, built around a GigE interface. Its Sony IMX226 CMOS rolling-shutter sensor delivers up to 9.7 fps at 4024 × 3036 resolution, with a 70.5 dB dynamic range — the highest figure in this line-up. As a bare board-level camera it has no housing: it ships as a PCB with mounting holes and must be fitted into the customer’s own enclosure for mechanical and electrical integration.
The Gigabit Ethernet interface supports cable runs of up to 100 meters without a repeater, and compliance with GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam lets it work directly with the MVS client and third-party machine-vision software. Power and I/O share a single 6-pin connector providing one non-isolated input, one non-isolated output and one bi-directional non-isolated line (Line 0/1/2). It accepts 9–24 VDC or PoE, so a single cable can carry both power and data over long runs, while the C-mount or M12-mount option covers different lens requirements.

Key features
- Supports auto or manual adjustment of gain, exposure time, white balance, manual adjustment of Gamma correction, LUT, Binning, etc.
- Adopts GigE interface and max. transmission distance of 100 meters without relay.
- Compatible with GigE Vision V2.0 Protocol, GenICam Standard, and third-party software based on the protocol and standard.
Where it is used
With a moderate 9.7 fps and 4024 × 3036 resolution, this camera suits detail-critical but not ultra-fast measurement and inspection tasks: fine trace and solder-joint checks on PCBs/electronics, dimensional measurement of mechanical parts, and general high-resolution imaging on QC stations. GigE’s 100 m cable reach also helps where the camera must sit far from the control cabinet or in hard-to-access positions.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
