One of the simplest members of the CB family, this model ships as a fully bare board with no lens mount at all; at 32.5×32.5×1.6 mm and about 10 g it is the thinnest and lightest option in the line-up. With the Sony® IMX178 mono sensor and USB3.0 interface it reaches 60.9 fps at 3072×2048. Since there is no lens holder, the optical interface must be designed entirely by the customer, and the board is fixed directly into the customer’s own mechanical structure/enclosure via the PCB mounting holes.
The USB3.0 interface is powered directly from the 5V line (typ. 1.5 W) with no external power supply needed, which helps place the board in deeply embedded designs with minimal cabling. Two bi-directional, non-isolated I/O lines (Line 2, Line 5) support hardware trigger, software trigger and free-run modes; the HDR function combines different exposure/gain settings for scenes that need extended dynamic range. USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance enable integration with the MVS client and compatible third-party software.

Where it is used
This mount-free bare-board design fits OEM products where the camera module is fully embedded into the device’s own optical/mechanical design (e.g. kiosks, analyzers, purpose-built readers). The mono sensor and high frame rate suit contrast-based measurement, edge/position detection and high-speed inline checks that don’t need color information. HDR support helps produce reliable images in high-brightness-range scenes such as reflective metal surfaces or mixed lighting.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
