As the CB family’s M12-mount color/USB3.0 member, this model shares the same 35×35×8.6 mm board dimensions as its C-mount color sibling but is slightly heavier (~43.5 g) due to the M12 mount component. The Sony® IMX178 sensor with color Bayer filter reaches 60.9 fps at 3072×2048. The housing-free board-level design requires integration into the customer’s enclosure via the PCB mounting holes; the M12 screw mount pairs directly with compact lenses.
It is powered from the USB3.0 line at typ. 1.8 W @ 5 VDC; two bi-directional I/O lines (Line 2, Line 5) support hardware/software triggering and free-run operation. The HDR function helps preserve detail and color in scenes with a wide brightness range. USB3 Vision and GenICam support enable integration with the MVS client and compatible software.

Where it is used
The M12 mount and small form factor suit applications embedded inside robot end-effectors or compact automation cells that need color imaging (small-part sorting, color-checked assembly verification). The color sensor is useful for product color sorting and label inspection tasks. The 60.9 fps rate gives adequate performance on medium-to-high-speed lines.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
