HIKROBOT MV-CB016-10UM-B — Area Scan Cameras
1.6 MP, Sony IMX273, USB3.0, Mono, up to 249.1 fps

The MV-CB016-10UM-B shares the 1440×1080 resolution and 3.45 µm pixel pitch of the GigE IMX296 model but runs Sony’s IMX273 sensor over USB3.0 instead, reaching 165.4 fps in Mono8 with 12-bit ADC or up to 249.1 fps in Mono8 with 8-bit ADC — a frame-rate range rather than a single figure, letting the ADC setting trade a little dynamic range for speed. SNR is 39.9 dB and dynamic range 71.5 dB, close to but slightly below the GigE mono model’s 41/74 dB. Like the CB013-A0UM-B it is a mount-free bare board (lens mount: None) weighing about 10 g, meant to be built directly into a customer-designed optical and mechanical assembly with no housing of its own.
USB3.0 supplies both power and data at a typical 1.5 W (5 VDC), and two bidirectional non-isolated I/O lines (Line 2, Line 5) are available for trigger and output signalling. With no lens mount, the customer aligns and secures the lens and any enclosure themselves. It follows USB3 Vision and GenICam, so it integrates with MVS and other compliant third-party vision software.

Key features
- Supports auto and manual adjustment for gain, exposure control, white balance, LUT, etc.
- Adopts image interpolation algorithm for color camera to have better color correction.
- Power supply and data transmission via USB3.0 interface.
- Compatible with USB3 Vision Protocol, GenICam standard, and the third-party software based on these protocol and standard.
Where it is used
The combination of 1.6 MP resolution and up to 249.1 fps at reduced bit depth (or 165.4 fps at full 12-bit ADC) suits fast-moving inspection that still needs more spatial detail than the 0.4 MP CB004 models — high-speed sorting or position tracking with finer feature detection — while the mount-free board favors deeply embedded OEM designs where the optics are custom-built around it.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
