The MV-SC6250M-00C-NNN is the monochrome version of the 25MP class; its 5120 × 5120 pixel square-format resolution, at the same 2.5 µm pixel size, gives it a symmetrical (square) field of view unlike its colour sibling’s rectangular sensor. This format makes it easier to keep circular or centrally symmetric parts fully framed.

The monochrome sensor, without a colour-filter layer, lets the camera reach a maximum of 20 fps — a higher rate than the 25MP colour model’s 16 fps, supporting faster line speeds. With 16 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage, high-resolution square frames can be processed on VisionMaster (VM) for measurement and defect-detection algorithms; power draw is 15 W without an external light source and 45 W with one.

Where it is used

The square (5120×5120) field of view and the high contrast of the monochrome sensor suit applications where round products (e.g. discs, bearings, connector faces) need to be measured at high resolution within a full frame. The higher frame rate makes it a preferred choice for positioning, measurement and surface-defect inspection tasks on relatively fast production lines, even at this 25MP resolution class.

Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
