The MV-SC5020XC-12M-WBN is the SC5000X family’s color model with a fixed 12 mm lens and built-in white illumination — a focal length chosen to balance working distance and field of view for most general-purpose inspection stations. Its 2MP global-shutter sensor and the VisionMaster platform provide enough resolution for detailed inspection of medium-sized parts.

White light ships as the factory default, but red, blue or infrared versions let integrators tune contrast to a material’s reflective behavior — a different wavelength may work better on transparent packaging than on bright bare metal, for instance. Power draw with the light source active ranges from a typical 12.3 W up to a maximum of 48 W, so the supply line should be sized accordingly.

This focal length is a reasonable default for general assembly verification, print and label checking, and presence/absence detection on standard-width production lines. The availability of alternate light colors makes it easier to adapt the same camera model across different material finishes — glossy, matte or transparent.
