HIKROBOT MV-SC5020XM-06M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC5020XM-06M-WBN is a 2-megapixel (1600×1216) monochrome vision sensor from HIKROBOT’s SC5000X series. Built around a global-shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 µm pixels, it captures clean images at up to 100 fps. Its 6 mm motorised-focus lens gives a wide field of view, which suits installations where the camera must sit close to the inspected object.

Power and signalling run through a single 12-pin M12 connector, exposing 3 opto-isolated inputs, 3 opto-isolated outputs and an RS-232 line, while support for TCP, UDP, ModBus, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP lets it talk directly to PLCs and line controllers. Onboard 8 GB memory and 64 GB storage let the built-in VisionMaster deep-learning module run inspection logic directly on the camera rather than a separate PC.

Where it is used

Its short focal length and compact footprint suit electronics assembly lines with tight camera clearance, small-component placement checks, and OCR or code-reading stations. The wide field of view also helps on packaging or sub-assembly lines where several small parts need to be captured and evaluated in a single frame.
