Liquid-lens technology adjusts focus electronically rather than through a mechanical lens swap, which is a practical advantage wherever product height or position varies along the line. Per HIKROBOT’s own product page, the camera applies AI deep-learning algorithms to object recognition, defect detection and OCR.
The unit integrates the VisionMaster (VM) platform, said to support more than 140 algorithms, and is described as offering rich I/O interfaces including multiple input/output signals alongside support for multiple communication protocols. Status indicators are built in to speed up troubleshooting and maintenance in the field. An IP67 rating lets it keep working in dusty or damp environments.

Where it is used
The electronic focus flexibility that a liquid lens provides is particularly useful on stations handling mixed product flows where height or position on the line isn’t constant, since there’s no need to stop the line for a mechanical refocus. Its AI-based object recognition and OCR capability lends itself to logistics or labeling lines reading mixed SKUs, and to electronics assembly stations that need fast defect classification. Since detailed sensor, power and dimension figures for this model aren’t confirmed by the manufacturer, project-specific applications should verify them before installation.
