HIKROBOT MV-SC6050M-16M-XBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC6050M-16M-XBN is the same 5MP monochrome smart camera from the SC6000 family — identical sensor, pixel size and built-in RGBW light source — but fitted with a 16 mm motorised M12 lens for stations that need a longer working distance, or a narrower field of view at the same distance, than the 12 mm variant. The VisionMaster (VM) platform and its embedded deep learning module again allow algorithms to run on the camera itself.

Power consumption (12 W without an external light source, 16.6 W with the multi-colour source enabled) and the 8 GB memory / 64 GB storage capacity are unchanged, and the camera offers the same broad protocol set (TCP, UDP, MODBUS, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Fins, MC, FTP) and I/O layout on its 17-pin M12 connector. Since the only difference is optical, it is a drop-in upgrade for integrators who want more working distance on an existing line without relocating the mounting point.

Where it is used

The 16 mm focal length suits situations where the camera must be mounted further from the target — such as line-side platforms with restricted access, stations requiring a safety standoff, or packaging lines where a wider area needs to be scanned from a distance. The same RGBW illumination flexibility applies, and the monochrome sensor remains suitable for measurement and defect-inspection tasks that need sharp edge/texture detail even from that greater distance.
