HIKROBOT MV-SC6016M-12M-XBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC6016M-12M-XBN is a mono SC6000 vision sensor built around a 1.6MP global-shutter CMOS sensor, delivering up to 120 fps — the fastest frame rate in this camera family. Its 12 mm motorised-focus M12 lens gives a balanced field of view for mid-distance inline setups, and the built-in RGBW four-colour light source keeps camera, lens and illumination in one housing.

Direct Gigabit Ethernet support for TCP, UDP, MODBUS, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Fins, MC and FTP lets the unit talk to PLCs and SCADA systems without an extra controller in between. Paired with 8 GB of memory and 64 GB of onboard storage, the VisionMaster platform’s deep-learning module can run inspection logic directly on the camera, independent of a host PC.

Where it is used

Its high frame rate suits fast-moving lines for part counting, presence/absence checks on electronic components, and high-speed sorting stations. Mono imaging performs well wherever contrast-based defect detection or position/alignment verification matters more than colour. Built-in RS-232 and digital I/O make it straightforward to wire into conveyor-triggered inspection cells.

Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
