HIKROBOT MV-SC5050XM-16M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC5050XM-16M-WBN is a 5MP mono smart camera built on a global-shutter CMOS sensor at 2432×2048 resolution, reaching up to 60 fps. Its 1/1.45″ optical format and 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels keep moving parts sharp without motion blur, while gain from 0-37 dB and exposure from 15-3000 µs give it room to adapt to different lighting setups.

Connectivity runs over Gigabit Ethernet plus a 12-pin M12 connector carrying 3 opto-isolated inputs, 3 opto-isolated outputs and an RS-232 line, with support for TCP, UDP, ModBus, RS-232, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Fins, MC and FTP for direct integration with PLC and SCADA systems. Onboard 8 GB memory and 64 GB storage keep processing local; the unit ships with a motorised M12-mount 16 mm lens, an optional colored light source, IP67 protection and a 0-50 °C operating range for demanding line conditions.

Where it is used

With typical power draw of 12.3 W (built-in light on) and 48 W maximum, it fits lines where several cameras are powered from a shared supply, such as electronics assembly and general manufacturing stations. Its multi-protocol support lets it connect straight into existing PLC-based lines, and its IP67 rating makes it viable in dustier or damp environments such as packaging or metal-working areas.
