HIKROBOT MV-SC5050XC-08M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC5050XC-08M-WBN is the color model in the SC5000X series with a built-in 8 mm motorised lens and integrated light source, producing 2432×2048 images at up to 60 fps. Unlike the C-Mount version, its lens and illumination arrive factory-fitted, so it can be commissioned quickly without a separate optics selection step. The global-shutter sensor, with a 1/1.45″ optical format and 3.45 µm pixels, captures color detail accurately.

The built-in light source ships as white by default, with red, blue or infrared options available, making it easy to switch illumination for parts with different surface finishes or colors. The camera draws a typical 12.3 W and up to 48 W with the light active, and carries an IP67 rating against dust and moisture on the line.

Its ready-made lens-and-light combination saves setup time on packaging, label/print verification and color-based component sorting tasks where color-based quality checks need to go live quickly. The option to switch illumination color also helps on lines dealing with reflective surfaces or specific color tones that need extra contrast.

Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
