HIKROBOT MV-SC2023XC-05M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The HIKROBOT MV-SC2023XC-05M-WBN is the 5 mm fixed-lens colour model of the SC2000X series of smart cameras. Its 1/3.52″ optical format, global shutter CMOS sensor with 2.2 µm × 2.2 µm pixels delivers 1920 × 1280 resolution images at up to 75 fps. Gain is adjustable from 0 dB to 48 dB and exposure time from 36 µs to 100 ms; the pixel format supports both Mono 8 and RGB 8. As a smart camera integrating the imaging sensor, processor and vision software in one housing, it can run standalone without an external PC or controller. Focusing is mechanical (motorised) through the M12 lens mount, with a focal length of 5 mm on this model. The housing is available in flat-angle (72.7 mm × 31.5 mm × 41 mm) or right-angle (51.5 mm × 31.5 mm × 61 mm) form and weighs 118 g.

The unit provides a vision-tool set spanning counting (blob, edge, contour, pattern and colour counting), presence/absence detection (circle, line, blob, edge, pattern and contour presence plus anomaly detection) and positioning (position correction, calibration transform, single-point alignment); program import/export is supported, with storage for up to 16 programs and 40 modules. Communication protocols include RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, MELSEC/SLMP, FINS and Keyence KV, over a Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s) data interface. Power and I/O are delivered through a 17-pin M12 connector: 2 isolated inputs (Line 0/1), 2 isolated outputs (Line 2/3) and 1 RS-232 port; triggering via the side button is also supported. Power supply is 24 VDC, with consumption averaging 5 W and up to 12 W maximum with the built-in illumination on. In addition to the white light source, optional red, blue, infrared, ultraviolet or red-blue dual-colour illumination is available; the camera carries an IP65 rating, operates from 0 °C to 50 °C, and is CE and KC certified. It also features a 2-green-LED aiming light, and the bare unit meets the IEC 60068-2-6:2007 vibration standard (10–55 Hz, 1.5 mm full amplitude, 2 hours per axis on X/Y/Z) and the IEC 60068-2-27:2008 shock standard (half-sine wave, 500 shocks per axis across 6 axes, 3000 shocks total).

Motorised focus and optional colour illumination add flexibility for different surface and material types. The documented vibration and shock resistance standards together with the IP65 rating support use at inline stations exposed to mechanical vibration or dust/splash; the specific application should be assessed on a project basis.
