HIKROBOT MV-SC2016EM-08S-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The HIKROBOT MV-SC2016EM-08S-WBN is the 8 mm fixed-lens mono model of the SC2000E series of smart cameras. Its 1/2.9″ optical format, global shutter CMOS sensor with 3.45 µm × 3.45 µm pixels delivers 1408 × 1024 resolution images at up to 60 fps. Gain is adjustable from 0 dB to 15 dB and exposure time from 16 µs to 1 s; the pixel format is Mono 8. As a smart camera integrating the imaging sensor, processor and vision software in one housing, it can run standalone without an external PC or controller. Focusing is manual through the M12 lens mount, with a focal length of 8 mm on this model. Its compact 46 mm × 57.6 mm × 25 mm housing and approximate weight of 220 g allow it to be fitted into tight installation spaces.

Inspection plans built with the on-camera vision tools can be imported and exported; the device can store up to 8 plans and 40 modules at once, allowing quick switching between different lines or product variants. It connects directly to PLC and SCADA systems via RS-232, TCP, UDP, FTP, PROFINET, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, FINS, MELSEC/SLMP and Keyence KV, with image and result data transferred over a 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet interface. The 8 mm focal length gives a wide field of view at a short working distance, which is an advantage for applications where large parts must be captured fully in a single frame. The integrated white light source provides uniform illumination, and the IP65-rated 46 mm × 57.6 mm × 25 mm housing weighs approximately 220 g, fitting into tight installation spaces.
