Omron D4BS is a safety-door switch with a robust metal housing, operated by a dedicated operation key. When the protective cover is opened, the NC contacts are opened by a direct opening mechanism and the control circuit is shut off; this mechanism is certified to EN60947-5-1. The special key prevents malfunction and false operation. The series offers 1NC/1NO and 2NC contact models with Pg13.5, G1/2, M20 or 1/2-14NPT conduit outlets. Operation keys are ordered separately, with horizontal, vertical and adjustable mounting versions.
According to the datasheet, D4BS is a Type 2 interlocking device to EN ISO 14119 with low level coding. The switch box is rated IP67 and operates from -40 to 80 °C. Mechanical durability is 1,000,000 operations min. and electrical durability is 500,000 operations min. at 10 A resistive load, 250 VAC. The AC-15 rating is 2 A at 400 V, and the rated insulation voltage is 600 V. The housing has Class I protection with a ground terminal. Direct opening force is 19.61 N min. and direct opening travel 20 mm min.
