Omron D41L is a high-coded RFID guard lock safety door switch designed for hygiene-sensitive machines. Its smooth surface leaves no wiping unevenness and prevents water or dust accumulation; the product is ECOLAB certified and rated IP66, IP67 and IP69. Switch and actuator are fixed to each other by pairing, with more than 1,000 coding variations available. The same actuator is used on left and right hinged doors and can be actuated from three directions: front, rear and side. Turning the star handle raises the latching force from 25 N to 50 N.
According to the datasheet, D41L is a Type 4 interlocking device to ISO 14119 with high coding. The interlocking function reaches PL e, Category 4 to ISO 13849-1 and is suitable for SIL3 applications; the guard lock function is PL d, Category 2. Two PNP safety outputs (OSSD) are rated 0.25 A and one PNP auxiliary output 0.05 A. The supply voltage is 24 VDC. Up to 31 switches can be connected in series. Holding force is 1,150 N min., and the operating temperature is 0 to 60 °C. On emergency exit models a person inside can open the switch mechanically by turning the lever.
