HIKROBOT MV-CA050-12UM — Area Scan Cameras
5 MP, Sony IMX264, USB3.0, Mono, 47 fps

The MV-CA050-12UM runs the same 5 MP IMX264 sensor as the GC model but over USB3.0, reaching 47 fps — nearly double its GigE sibling’s rate. It offers a mono output and the same UltraShort/Standard dual exposure modes. HIKROBOT has placed this model in Delisting Preparation.
It draws typ. 2.9 W @5 VDC from the USB3.0 bus, with 9–24 VDC external power also supported. I/O is delivered through a 6-pin P7 connector — unlike the Hirose connector used on the other USB3.0 models here — while keeping the same three-line opto-isolated arrangement. Hardware triggering, software triggering and free-run mode are supported, and it complies with USB3 Vision/GenICam. The housing is 29×29×30 mm at 80 g.

- Adopts M2 screw holes for securing cable that connects USB3.0 interface.
- Compatible with USB3 Vision Protocol, GenICam Standard, and the third-party software based on these protocol and standard.
Where it is used
The 5 MP resolution suits the same dimensional-measurement and PCB/electronics inspection work as the GC model, but the higher 47 fps rate means those tasks can be done on faster lines as well. The mono output is the better choice for edge- and contrast-based measurement.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
