HIKROBOT MV-CS200-10UM V5 — Area Scan Cameras
20 MP, Sony® IMX183, USB3.0, Mono, 19.2 fps

With features aimed at motion-controlled systems, the MV-CS200-10UM V5 sits in the CS series 20 MP USB3.0 monochrome line as the V5-designated model. Its official feature list names software trigger, hardware trigger via differential encoder and free-run mode, plus user-defined ROI and horizontal/vertical mirroring. The Sony® IMX183 (1 inch, 2.4 μm × 2.4 μm, rolling shutter) delivers 5472 × 3648 at 19.2 fps, with an exposure floor down to 14 μs and a ceiling of 0.86 seconds alongside 41.5 dB SNR and 65.5 dB dynamic range.
A single USB3.0 cable carries data and power (USB2.0 compatible); typical consumption is just 1.6 W at 5 VDC, and a 9 to 24 VDC external supply can be used instead. An encoder or PLC signal enters through the opto-isolated Line 0 input on the 6-pin P7 connector, the opto-isolated Line 1 output drives the lighting, and Line 2 is configured as a bi-directional non-isolated line. The 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body of roughly 80 g screws down from any of four sides; USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance opens it to standards-based third-party software, and the storage range is specified from –30 °C to 80 °C.

Key features
- Supports auto or manual adjustment of gain, exposure time, white balance, Gamma, and LUT correction, etc.
- Supports customer ROI, horizontal mirroring, and vertical mirroring.
- Supports software trigger, hardware trigger (differential encoder), and free run mode.
- Compatible with USB3 Vision Protocol, GenICam Standard, and the third-party software based on the protocol and standard.
- Compact design with mounting holes on panels for flexible mounting from 4 sides.
Where it is used
Encoder-triggered capture and ROI support make this camera a fit for systems that scan step by step on a moving stage or axis: panel and sheet inspection where a large surface is imaged in sections and stitched, precision part measurement on an XY table, alignment and positioning tasks that run a selected window at a higher frame rate. The 14 μs minimum exposure helps limit motion blur under strong lighting. Its low 1.6 W draw is an advantage in compact desktop instruments where several cameras are powered from one PC’s USB ports.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
