The MV-CS200-10UM takes the same 20 MP Sony® IMX183 sensor to 19.2 fps over USB3.0 as a monochrome CS series camera; HIKROBOT labels it ‘2nd Gen.’ and its official feature list highlights a new design that reduces power consumption. The 1-inch rolling-shutter CMOS with 2.4 μm × 2.4 μm pixels outputs 5472 × 3648 frames in Mono 8/10/10Packed/12/12Packed, and a 41.5 dB SNR, 65.5 dB dynamic range and 0 to 24 dB gain span back up the manufacturer’s description of high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and low noise. Exposure is adjustable between 44 μs and 0.83 seconds.
The USB3.0 link (backward compatible with USB2.0) connects the camera straight to the workstation and can also power it, with a typical draw of 2.3 W at 5 VDC; an external 9 to 24 VDC input remains available. The 6-pin P7 connector covers trigger and strobe control through Line 0 (opto-isolated input), Line 1 (opto-isolated output) and Line 2 (bi-directional non-isolated I/O). A 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body of about 80 g, C-mount threading and mounting holes on four sides fit cramped bench setups, USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance means it works with standards-based third-party software, and the housing is rated IP40 with a –30 °C to 60 °C working range.

Where it is used
A 20 MP stream at 19.2 fps is tailor-made for high-detail inspection stations installed close to the PC: solder-paste and component-placement checks on electronics assembly lines, benchtop measurement of semiconductor and precision mechanical parts, digitizing documents, film and samples in laboratories and quality rooms. The monochrome sensor feeds edge-finding and measurement algorithms with clean data free of color interpolation. It is the pick when a short cable run is acceptable but the frame rate must go beyond what the GigE link allows.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
