HIKROBOT MV-CS060-10GM V5 — Area Scan Cameras

Built around the 1/1.8″ Sony® IMX178 with 2.4 μm pixels, the MV-CS060-10GM V5 is a monochrome GigE camera that reaches 19.5 fps at 3072 × 2048 in Mono 8. It sits in the 6 MP class of the CS series small and medium resolution family as the V5 edition, and its typical draw of 1.4 W at 12 VDC is noticeably below the 2.4 W of the Basic version using the same sensor. A 41.3 dB SNR, 71.3 dB dynamic range and 0 to 24 dB gain are complemented by automatic or manual control of gain, exposure time, LUT and Gamma correction.
On the cabling side, the 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet link is compatible with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet and needs no intermediate device for up to 100 meters; PoE can replace the 9–24 VDC external supply for a single-cable installation. Power and I/O go through a 6-pin P7 connector: Line 0 is an opto-isolated input, Line 1 an opto-isolated output and Line 2 a bi-directional non-isolated line. The 29 × 29 × 42 mm housing has mounting holes on four faces, operates from –30 °C to 60 °C and is compatible with third-party software through the GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam standards.

Where it is used
Low power draw and PoE support make this model practical for multi-station quality control cells where many cameras are fed from a single network switch. The 6 MP monochrome image loses no detail in scratch and burr detection on glass and plastic parts, post-molding measurement stations, and 2D code and character verification. Automatic gain and exposure control reduces the need for manual adjustment in semi-open production areas where lighting shifts during the day.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
