HIKROBOT MV-CS050-60UM V5 — Area Scan Cameras
5 MP, Stacked BSI, USB 3.0, Mono, 60 fps

What sets the MV-CS050-60UM V5 apart is that it runs the same Stacked BSI global shutter sensor in two selectable characters: a high full well capacity mode with 0–12.8 dB gain and 30 μs–10 s exposure, and a high sensitivity mode with 0–24 dB gain and exposure from 5 μs to 10 s. One camera can therefore resist saturation in brightly lit scenes or pull detail out of dim ones. Everything else matches the 5 MP class of the CS series: a 2/3-inch sensor, 3.45 μm pixels, 60 fps at 2448 × 2048 in Mono 8, 42.4 dB SNR and 73.9 dB dynamic range.
The USB 3.0 interface (USB 2.0 compatible) carries data and power on a single cable; typical consumption is 1.5 W at 5 VDC, lower than its 60 fps sibling in the family, and 9–24 VDC can be supplied through the P7 connector when needed. Triggering covers hardware and software modes with Sequencer support, and the three lines on P7 (opto-isolated input, opto-isolated output, bi-directional Line 2) are enough to synchronise a light source and a PLC. The 29 × 29 × 30 mm, roughly 80 g housing operates from –30 °C to 60 °C and can be stored up to 80 °C, and it follows the USB3 Vision and GenICam standards.

Where it is used
The dual gain modes let a single camera switch between two profiles in plants where the same line runs under different lighting from shift to shift. High full well capacity mode gives glare-tolerant images when checking laser-marked shiny surfaces or glass and transparent packaging, while high sensitivity mode suits microsecond exposures under strobed lighting. At 5 MP and 60 fps, PCB assembly verification, pharmaceutical blister inspection and robot guidance are the leading scenarios.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
