The MV-CS050-60UM is the 5 MP monochrome USB3.0 member of the CS series small and medium resolution family, built around a 2/3-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor with a 3.45 μm pixel pitch and global shutter. It delivers 60 fps at 2448 × 2048 in Mono 8, and with 42.4 dB SNR and 73.9 dB dynamic range it stands among the strongest 5 MP models in the family for signal quality. Listed by HIKROBOT as a 2nd generation model, it offers 0–24 dB gain and an exposure window from 5 μs up to 10 s.
Connection is over USB3.0 with backward compatibility to USB2.0; the camera draws a typical 1.7 W at 5 VDC and can run on bus power alone, or accept 9–24 VDC through the 6-pin P7 connector. That same connector carries one opto-isolated input (Line 0), one opto-isolated output (Line 1) and one bi-directional non-isolated line (Line 2), with hardware trigger, software trigger and free-run modes available. The 29 × 29 × 30 mm C-mount housing weighs roughly 80 g and can be mounted from four sides, and USB3 Vision plus GenICam compliance lets it work with third-party software built on those standards.

Where it is used
Five megapixels at 60 fps is a balanced combination for dimensional measurement and surface defect inspection of parts moving on a conveyor, where the 3.45 μm pixels resolve fine detail without contrast loss. The wide dynamic range removes the exposure compromise on assembly lines where bright metal and dark plastic appear in the same frame. Component placement verification in electronics, packaging integrity checks and microscope-based laboratory imaging are typical deployments.
