HIKROBOT MV-CS032-60GM V5 — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS032-60GM V5 is the V5 version of the 3.2 MP monochrome GigE camera with a Stacked BSI global-shutter sensor, and it offers two operating modes. In Full well mode gain spans 0 dB to 12.8 dB with exposure from 30 μs to 10 sec; in High sensitivity mode gain extends to 0 dB to 24 dB and the lower exposure limit drops to 5 μs. The 1/1.8-inch sensor, 3.45 μm × 3.45 μm pixels, 2048 × 1536 resolution, 42.4 dB SNR and 73.9 dB dynamic range are retained, while the frame rate is specified at 38.9 fps.
This model’s typical power consumption of 1.7 W at 12 VDC is the lowest in this group; it can be powered over PoE or connected to a 9 VDC to 24 VDC external source. The Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbit/s) link supports 100 meters without a relay and is compatible with Fast Ethernet (100 Mbit/s). All parameters, including the mode selection, are reachable through GenICam; sequencer, LUT and Gamma support, the Line 0 / Line 1 / Line 2 I/O lines on the P7 connector, the 29 mm × 29 mm × 42 mm body with four-sided mounting and GigE Vision V2.0 compliance are standard equipment.

Where it is used
Having two modes lets the same camera be tuned to different scene conditions: Full well mode for metal surface and weld seam inspection where illumination is abundant and reflections are strong, and High sensitivity mode for enclosed chambers with limited light, low-power LED lighting, or lines where fast motion calls for 5 μs exposures. With 3.2 MP resolution, small-part measurement, print quality control and electronics assembly inspection are this model’s natural territory.
