The speed champion of this group is the MV-CS028-10UM: a monochrome USB3.0 camera delivering 132.2 fps at full 2.8 MP resolution (1936 × 1464). Its global-shutter 2/3-inch Sony IMX421 has 4.5 μm × 4.5 μm pixels and holds 43.6 dB SNR and 71.1 dB dynamic range even at that frame rate. In addition to the standard 9 μs to 10 sec exposure range it offers an UltraShort exposure mode from 1 μs to 5 μs, a combination designed to freeze fast motion within the small and medium resolution family of the CS series.
USB3.0 bandwidth is what carries the 132.2 fps stream; the link is backward compatible with USB2.0 and the camera is powered straight from USB3.0 (typ. 2.8 W at 5 VDC), with a 9 VDC to 24 VDC external input also provided. For synchronized capture the P7 connector dedicates the opto-isolated input (Line 0) to hardware triggering, the opto-isolated output (Line 1) to strobe or PLC feedback and Line 2 to bi-directional use. Gain, exposure, LUT, Gamma and contrast ratio can be set automatically or manually; the 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm, 80 g body mounts from four sides and carries USB3 Vision / GenICam compliance.

Where it is used
More than 132 frames per second points this camera at fast-moving product: cap and label position on bottle and can lines, imaging of dropped or ejected parts in flight, placement verification on high-speed pick-and-place heads, and motion analysis of vibrating or rotating mechanisms. UltraShort exposure down to 1 μs all but freezes motion under strong illumination, and the 2.8 MP resolution keeps small details from being lost even at that pace.
