For setups that want color imaging over a single USB cable, the CS series offers the MV-CS023-10UC: 2.3 MP, global shutter, Sony IMX249. The 5.86 μm × 5.86 μm pixels of the 1/1.2-inch sensor retain their light-gathering strength in color capture; with the 40 dB SNR and 70 dB dynamic range specified for the USB version, it reaches 41 fps at 1920 × 1200 in Bayer RG 8 output. In-camera white balance, CCM, Super Palette and Super Bayer functions take care of color fidelity without loading the host.
Color data can be taken as raw Bayer RG 8/10/12 or as YUV422Packed, YUV422_YUYV_Packed, RGB 8 or BGR 8; a Mono 8 output is also available when a monochrome workflow is needed. The USB 3.0 link is compatible with USB 2.0 and powers the camera directly (typ. 1.6 W at 5 VDC), while the 9 VDC to 24 VDC external supply option is retained. The P7 connector covers triggering scenarios with Line 0 input, Line 1 output and Line 2 bi-directional line; the 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body weighs 78 g and follows the USB3 Vision and GenICam standards.

Where it is used
It stands out where color and portability are needed together: LED color and polarity checks in electronics assembly, shade comparison of textile and leather samples, label color and print integrity checks on pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging, and color image acquisition on training and R&D benches. Its 41 fps is more than enough for hand-fed or slow-belt stations, and USB power makes field demonstrations with a laptop straightforward.
