HIKROBOT MV-CS020-10UM — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS020-10UM is the second-generation 2 MP monochrome camera that brings the IMX430 sensor to USB3.0. Although it uses the same 1/1.7-inch global shutter sensor as its GigE sibling, it runs at 90 fps at 1624 × 1240 while holding 43.7 dB SNR and 71.5 dB dynamic range. Within the small and medium resolution USB3.0 branch of the CS series it targets desktop and single-camera stations that want a high frame rate without setting up a network.
The USB 3.0 link is compatible with USB 2.0 and the camera can be powered straight from the USB port, drawing a typical 2.3 W at 5 VDC; a 9–24 VDC external supply remains available. The housing is shorter than the GigE model at 29 × 29 × 30 mm and roughly 80 g. The P7 connector carries an opto-isolated input and output plus one bi-directional line; sequencer and passive transmission are supported alongside hardware trigger, software trigger and free run. USB3 Vision and GenICam compliance means direct use with standards-based third-party software.

Where it is used
Ninety frames per second in mono serves faster conveyors where the GigE version falls short: counting small parts, cap and stopper presence checks, rapid pick-and-place positioning. USB power and an 80 g body make it a practical choice for lab benches, microscopy set-ups and portable inspection rigs. The 4.5 μm pixels and 43.7 dB SNR deliver clean images for OCR and surface-defect inspection inside dimly lit enclosures.
