HIKROBOT MV-CS016-10GC — Area Scan Cameras

The MV-CS016-10GC is the 1.6 MP color GigE camera of the CS series; its Sony® IMX296 global shutter CMOS (1/2.9-inch, 3.45 μm pixels) delivers 1440 × 1080 at 65.2 fps. Color output is not limited to Bayer RG 8/10/10p/12/12p: YUV422Packed, YUV422_YUYV_Packed, RGB 8 and BGR 8 are generated directly by the camera, alongside Mono 8/10/12. 41 dB SNR and 0–24 dB gain combine with an exposure span from 1 μs UltraShort to 10 s.
A color correction matrix and white balance run in-camera; gain, exposure, LUT and gamma are adjustable automatically or manually, and noise reduction is available. PoE or 9–24 VDC supply (typically 2.5 W at 12 VDC) with a relay-free Gigabit Ethernet run of up to 100 m enables single-cable remote installation, and Fast Ethernet networks are supported. The 6-pin Hirose connector carries the opto-isolated input/output (Line 0/1) and bi-directional Line 2; the 29 × 29 × 42 mm, roughly 100 g body mounts from four sides, and GigE Vision V2.0 with GenICam ensures third-party software compatibility.

Where it is used
Ready RGB/BGR output from the camera takes Bayer conversion off the host, which eases the compute budget in embedded systems and multi-camera color inspection stations. Color at 1440 × 1080 suits label print quality, cap-to-body color matching, wire-harness sequence checks and ripeness or color grading of agricultural produce. The 65.2 fps rate comfortably covers medium-speed packaging and assembly lines in triggered operation.
Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
