The Telemecanique XS8C4A1PCG13 is an XS8 inductive proximity sensor with a 40×40×117 mm body and terminal connection. Its sensing face sits on a 5-position turret head; the PBT enclosure is flush mountable. The nominal sensing distance is 20 mm and the operating zone is 0–16 mm. The 4-wire PNP output provides one normally open and one normally closed contact (1 NO + 1 NC) and switches up to 200 mA with overload and short-circuit protection. The data sheet gives SIL 2 (IEC 61508), PL d (ISO 13849-1) and SILCL 2 (IEC 62061) with an appropriate safety controller.
The rated supply voltage is 12–48 V DC (limits 10–58 V DC) with reverse polarity protection; no-load current consumption is 0–15 mA. The switching frequency reaches 300 Hz. Wiring is to 4 × 1.5 mm² screw-clamp terminals through a Pg 13.5 cable gland entry. Safety reliability data are MTTFd = 1546 years, PFHd = 7.4E-8 1/h and SFF = 92 %. The enclosure meets IP67, IP65 and IP69K, and the operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C. Net weight is 0.244 kg.
