Advantech FPM-700 Series — Industrial Panels
10.1″ – 23.8″ industrial touch monitor series — no compute of its own; connects to a box PC, PLC or SCADA server over HDMI/DP/VGA (USB-C on FPM-710SW). IP66 front, resistive or P-CAP touch, 24 VDC, panel/wall/VESA mounting.

FPM-700 is Advantech’s general-purpose industrial monitor series: it separates the display from the computer and takes the picture from an existing box PC, PLC/IPC or SCADA server over HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA. The processor stays in the cabinet while only a slim IP66-rated screen is flush-mounted in the panel; screen and computer can be replaced independently. The series comprises 4:3/5:4 resistive-touch models (15″, 17″, 19″), Full HD widescreen P-CAP models (15.6″, 21.5″, 23.8″) and the 10.1″ FPM-710SW that runs on a single USB-C cable.
Common platform: direct HDMI/DP/VGA, IP66, 24 VDC
All models take video directly over HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA (HDMI, DP and USB Type-C on FPM-710SW); touch data goes to the host over USB (plus RS-232 on resistive models). Power is 24 VDC via terminal block (710SW: 12 – 24 VDC) with lockable connectors. The front is IP66-rated; the rear cover is die-cast aluminium and, on resistive models, the front panel die-cast magnesium alloy. Operating range −20 to 60 °C (710SW −10 to 50 °C, 724W 0 to 50 °C), vibration 5 – 500 Hz 1 Grms; mounting by stand, wall, panel and VESA arm (75 × 75 mm; 710SW 100 × 100 mm), plus a rack kit on resistive models.
Resistive or P-CAP
FPM-715 / 717 / 719: 5-wire analog resistive screen, anti-glare tempered-glass surface (3H/4H), above 75 % light transmission — for glove and stylus use, replacement of previous-generation HMIs and 4:3/5:4 panel cutouts. FPM-715W / 721W / 724W and 710SW: 10-point projected-capacitive touch behind true-flat 7H glass, 16:9/16:10 widescreen — for modern HMI/SCADA interfaces, multi-touch and an easy-to-clean flat surface. Brightness 300 – 450 cd/m², backlight life 30,000 – 70,000 hours.
FPM-710SW: the single-cable monitor
The newest member, the 10.1″ WUXGA (1920 × 1200) FPM-710SW, is Advantech’s first single-cable industrial touch monitor: the USB Type-C connection carries video, touch data and power over one cable. Advantech’s datasheet lists UNO-238 (C3N1AE/C5N1AE/C7N1AE) and UNO-2271G-I331AE as compatible hosts; classic HDMI/DP + USB + 12 – 24 VDC wiring is also possible.
Where it is used
Operator display flush-mounted in a cabinet door for the box PC or IPC inside; line-monitoring and alarm board connected to a PLC/SCADA server; on-machine visualisation; IP66-surface touch interface on clean-room and food lines; screen-plus-separate-computer architecture instead of a panel PC. FST commissions the monitor together with a box PC / compact modular PC and SCADA/HMI software as one solution.
