The flow, level and pressure instruments below are available in ATEX / IECEx certified Ex versions. Every marking shown here is taken from the manufacturer’s own technical documentation.
How to read the marking
Each part of an Ex code tells you something different.
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ex ia | Intrinsically safe — energy limited, Zone 0/1/2 |
| Ex ib | Intrinsically safe — Zone 1/2 |
| Ex d | Flameproof enclosure — Zone 1/2 |
| IIC | Gas group IIC (incl. hydrogen/acetylene, most demanding) |
| T1–T6 | Temperature class — T6 is the lowest surface temperature (85 °C) |
| Ga / Gb | Equipment protection level — Ga = Zone 0, Gb = Zone 1 |
