HIKROBOT MV-CT1CG0004/G/NN/NN — Area Scan Cameras

The HIKROBOT MV-CT1CG0004/G/NN/NN is the GigE-interface PRO model in the third-generation CT series area scan camera family. Its 1/2.9″ optical format global shutter stacked BSI CMOS sensor, with a 6.9 µm × 6.9 µm pixel size, produces color images at 720 × 540 resolution and reaches up to 200.5 fps (in Bayer GB 8 format). A 62.6 dB dynamic range and 43.9 dB signal-to-noise ratio preserve image detail even under varying lighting conditions. Gain is adjustable from 0 dB to 24 dB, and exposure time can be set across a wide range from 23 µs to 10 seconds. The global shutter architecture captures moving objects without distortion, while the high frame rate enables clear imaging of fast-moving targets. The compact 29 × 29 × 42 mm housing and approximately 124 g weight also make the camera suitable for space-constrained mounting points.

The camera communicates over a 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet data interface and is also compatible with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet; the connection is made through an 8-pin M12 X-Code waterproof connector. There is no separate control connector — triggering and I/O functions are handled over the data interface. Power can be supplied in the 9–24 VDC range and PoE is supported; typical power consumption is 1.8 W at 12 VDC. The IP67 protection rating provides resistance to dust and water ingress when the lens, housing, and cables are correctly installed, and allows operation between -30 °C and 60 °C. The PRO version combines the waterproof M12 X-Code connector with precise temperature control. The camera complies with the GigE Vision V2.0 and GenICam standards.

A frame rate of up to 200.5 fps at 720 × 540 resolution, together with an exposure time as short as 23 µs, suits this model to tasks such as high-speed counting, positioning, and presence/absence detection. The combination of lower resolution and high frame rate allows it to track objects moving along fast production lines. The IP67 rating and -30 °C to 60 °C operating range provide durability for dusty, humid, or temperature-fluctuating environments. The GigE interface lets the camera transmit both data and power (via PoE) over a single cable across long cable runs.
