EX-33 is the thru-beam model with an operation mode switch in Panasonic’s EX-30 Ver.2 threaded miniature photoelectric sensor series. The emitter and receiver, with threaded nickel-plated die-cast zinc bodies, are mounted facing each other; they detect opaque objects of Ø2 mm or more that completely interrupt the red LED beam at a range of 800 mm. Repeatability perpendicular to the sensing axis is 0.05 mm or less.
Light-ON / Dark-ON operation is selected with a switch and sensitivity is continuously adjustable; these two features set it apart from the fixed-operation EX-31. The output is NPN open-collector (EX-33) or PNP open-collector (EX-33-PN), with 50 mA maximum output current and a response time of 0.5 ms or less. It has IP67 protection and pollution degree 3, comes with a 2 m cable, and is supplied with two nuts and two toothed lock washers. Conformity: CE and UKCA.
