The Telemecanique XUSL4E30H is a Type 4 safety light curtain conforming to IEC 61496-1, designed for hand protection with a 30 mm resolution. On standard-distance models the sensing distance is selected by wiring as 0–4 m or 0–12 m; on the long-distance model XUSL4E30H091L it is 0–10 m or 3–20 m. The family covers protected heights of 310 mm (16 beams), 910 mm (46 beams) and 1060 mm (53 beams); the XUSL4E30H106NS2 is the slave 2 model for daisy-chain topology. Correctly wired, it conforms to category 4, PL e, SIL 3 and SILCL 3.
Response time is 5.5 ms, 7.5 ms or 12.5 ms depending on the model. The receiver provides two solid-state PNP OSSD safety outputs with arc suppression, limited to 0.4 A each; supply voltage is 24 V DC ±20 %. The transmitter connects via a 5-pin and the receiver via an 8-pin M12 male connector. Start/restart mode and external device monitoring (EDM) are selected by wiring. Test, muting through the external safety module XPSLCMUT1160 and LED status/fault display are available. The aluminium casing is red RAL 3000, rated IP65 and IP67.
