XGCS490B201, XGCS49LB201 and XGCS491B201 are the panel-mounting RFID smart antennas of the Telemecanique OsiSense XG range. The 40 × 40 × 40 mm housing fits a standard Ø 22 mm panel hole, secured by a single rear locking nut. They work with 13.56 MHz ISO 15693 and ISO 14443 tags, detect the tag type automatically and offer a nominal sensing distance of 10–70 mm. According to the manufacturer they are designed to identify operators by means of an RFID card or key fob and determine which operations they may access. All models use a single male 5-pin M12 connector.
XGCS490B201 and XGCS49LB201 communicate via Modbus RTU over RS485; the data rate (9,600–115,200 baud) is detected automatically and the network address is set with the supplied XGSZCNF01 badge. XGCS49LB201 has 2 front multi-colour LEDs (7 colours) controlled by Modbus requests; its front face is IP69K and its rear IP65. XGCS491B201 operates standalone: its 1 NO PNP output, 300 mA with overload and short-circuit protection, directly controls a relay or contactor; user cards are enrolled without software using the XGSZCNFAC kit. Supply is 24 V DC PELV (19.2–29 V DC), operating temperature -25 to +70 °C.
