PPC-300 is Advantech’s general-purpose industrial panel PC series: it combines display and computer in one slim aluminium housing, flush-mounted in a cabinet door or fitted on an arm/stand via VESA 75. The eight models on this page share the series’ 13th Gen Intel Core (Raptor Lake, “RPL”) platform; only screen size, aspect ratio, resolution, brightness and touch type change. The same software image and the same I/O layout can therefore be used across the whole line, from a 10.4″ machine panel to a 21.5″ SCADA station.
Common platform: 13th Gen Core, fanless, IP66
All models take an Intel Core i3-1315UE (6 cores), i5-1335UE or i7-1365UE (10 cores); single-slot DDR5-4800 memory scales to 32 GB, storage is an M.2 M key 2280 NVMe/SATA SSD (RAID 0/1) plus a 2.5″ SATA bay. The housing is fanless, the true-flat front is IP66-rated; operating temperature is −10 to 50 °C and the input is 24 VDC ± 30 %. TPM 2.0 is on board as standard.
Connectivity and expansion
Every model has two 2.5GbE Intel I226 ports (TSN capable), two RS-232/422/485 serial ports, three USB 3.2 and one USB 2.0, and a DisplayPort output for a second display; models of 15″ and above add line out and a 2 W speaker. M.2 B key (4G/5G, SIM) and E key (Wi-Fi 6) slots take wireless modules. The iDoor slot adds fieldbus such as PROFIBUS/CANBus, isolated serial ports, digital I/O or extra Ethernet; the optional expansion box adds a PCI or PCIe ×1 card.
Choosing display and touch
The standard 4:3 / 5:4 models (10.4″, 12.1″, 15″, 17″, 19″) fit existing panel cutouts and suit glove operation with resistive touch; the 16:9 widescreen models (15.6″, 18.5″, 21.5″) offer Full HD/HD resolution and P-CAP multi-touch for modern HMI interfaces. Brightness ranges from 250 to 500 cd/m² and backlight life from 30,000 to 50,000 hours. Resistive (R) and P-CAP (P) versions are distinguished in the part number.
Where it is used
On-machine operator panel and HMI, SCADA station flush-mounted in a cabinet door, end-of-line data-entry and labelling terminal, MES client, recipe and quality-control screen; fieldbus-connected machine control via iDoor. FST commissions the panel PC together with SCADA/HMI software and the machine-vision system (camera, lens, lighting) as one solution.
