TREK-50N, TREK-60N and MIC-715-NX are Advantech’s NVIDIA Jetson based edge AI computers for in-vehicle and harsh environments. The TREK models come from Advantech’s “In-Vehicle AI Solutions” category: their common features are the ISO 7637-2 and SAE J1113 compliant 12 / 24 V vehicle power design, E-Mark (E13) approval, vehicle power management with programmable ignition delay, J1939 / OBD-II compliant CAN, J1708 and GNSS / wireless modules with FAKRA antenna connectors. MIC-715-NX is the IP67 waterproof, M12-connector, Xavier NX based member of the “AI Rugged System & AI NVR” category within the Jetson platforms. FST presents the three as the “in-vehicle” grouping in the NVIDIA AI PC category; each model page has the full datasheet-based specification table, part numbers and cable / antenna / module accessories.

Common platform: vehicle power, CAN, GNSS and ruggedness

All three models run directly from the vehicle battery: TREK-50N 9 – 32 V, TREK-60N 12 / 24 V (ISO 7637-2, SAE J1113 compliant, E-Mark E13), MIC-715-NX 12 / 24 VDC through an M16 connector with ignition input. On the TREK models, iVPM vehicle power management provides ignition on/off delay, wake-up by RTC / call / G-sensor and battery low-voltage protection. The CAN interfaces are J1939 and OBD-II / ISO 15765 compliant (TREK-50N 2 × CAN FD, TREK-60N 2 × CAN, MIC-715-NX 2 × CAN); the TREKs also have J1708 (J1587). Built-in u-blox GNSS (NEO-M9L with dead reckoning) and FAKRA antenna connectors serve fleet tracking. Ruggedness: EN 60721-3-5 5M3 (100 G / 6 ms, 3 Grms), MIL-STD-810G/H; TREK-50N and MIC-715-NX IP67, TREK-60N IP65.

Which model for which job

TREK-50N (280 × 82.5 × 182 mm): the most compact and newest single-Jetson option — Orin NX 8 / 16 GB or Orin Nano 8 GB, four PoE or four GMSL2 camera inputs by SKU, standard or fully M12/FAKRA IP67 housing, −25 to 75 °C; for camera-based driver assistance, surround perception and machinery vision. TREK-60N (314 × 172.2 × 95.3 mm): Intel Atom or Core i7 host system (Windows / Ubuntu) + Orin NX 8 GB AI module — fleet-management software, the TREK-303 / 306 driver display (Smart Display Port 2.0, one cable) and AI analytics on four PoE cameras in one chassis; the externally accessible key-locked 2.5″ SSD tray is for long-term recording. MIC-715-NX (275 × 220 × 80 mm): lower AI power with Xavier NX (21 TOPS), but a rugged in-vehicle AI NVR with six M12 Gigabit ports (four with PoE) and an IP67 housing; Allxon remote management.

Cameras, display and wireless

PoE cameras (802.3af/at, 30 W total on the TREKs) are powered directly; the GMSL2 version of TREK-50N takes automotive cameras on FAKRA Z-coded inputs. Besides HDMI, TREK-50N and TREK-60N offer Smart Display Port 2.0 for the TREK-303 FL (7″) / TREK-306 FL (10.4″) smart displays: video, audio, USB, power and the power button on one cable. On the wireless side, RF extension modules fitted to the M.2 slots (TREK-60-EXTRF*: Telit 4G / 5G, Wi-Fi 7) and IP67 FAKRA antennas are used; MIC-715-NX has two Mini PCIe, M.2 3052 and a nano SIM. An optional Automotive Ethernet (2 × 1000BASE-T1) module is available for TREK-50N, and 4 / 8-channel analog capture and IP65 M12 cover options for TREK-60N.

Where it is used

Driver assistance and fatigue/attention analysis for commercial fleets (trucks, buses, service vehicles), blind-spot and pedestrian detection, surround perception for mining and construction machinery, agricultural machinery, municipal and emergency vehicles, railway maintenance vehicles, on-board AI video recording and fleet telematics. FST configures the in-vehicle computer with the camera, display, antenna and cable set and delivers it as one solution with CAN / J1939 integration, model commissioning and remote-management setup services.
