MIC-770 V3 is the newest LGA1700-socket series in Advantech’s modular industrial computer family. A single hardware platform is configured by application — processor, memory, storage and expansion module — scaling from a basic SCADA/HMI station to an edge AI inference system with a GPU added via i-Module, all in the same chassis.

Broad processor support for flexible performance

The LGA1700 socket lets the series be configured with Intel 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Core i processors, and the new Core Series 2 (Bartlett Lake-S) family — from 2 to 24 cores, 35 to 65 W base power. The processor is selected at order time to match the application’s performance/power needs; the same chassis runs low-power T/TE models across a wide temperature range, or higher-tier models at higher compute. Two chipset options are available: R680E (ECC memory, RAID 0/1/5/10, NVMe M.2, 4 independent displays, 2 × USB 3.2 Gen2) and the more basic H610E.

Front-panel expansion: FlexIO and iDoor

MIC-770 V3 uses Mini PCIe-based iDoor expansion modules on the front of the chassis — fieldbus (PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, CANBus), isolated/non-isolated serial ports, digital I/O, additional Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi/4G can be added without opening the case. FlexIO kits add interfaces such as extra HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, COM ports and a remote power switch the same way.

Modular growth with i-Module (GPU included)

MIC-75 series i-Modules add a PCIe/PCI expansion slot, extra storage or a GPU card. On R680E models, MIC-75GF10 (MXM GPU), MIC-75G20/G30 (full-height GPU, 1–2 cards) and the MIC-75M series (PCIe/PCI expansion) are supported — making MIC-770 V3 a platform for GPU-dependent applications such as machine vision and edge AI inference as well. H610E models do not support i-Module GPU expansion.

Where it’s used

A SCADA/HMI server mounted in a control cabinet on the factory floor; a vision-processing computer driving camera and lighting in a machine-vision system (with a GPU added via i-Module for edge AI inference); production-line data acquisition and a MES/ERP gateway; field stations where heat and vibration call for a fanless system.

These are typical use cases; check with our technical team on fit for your project.
