HIKROBOT MV-SC6016C-06M-XBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC6016C-06M-XBN packs a built-in red/green/blue/white (RGBW) four-colour light source into the SC6000 family, paired with a fixed 6 mm focal length in colour. Integrating the light source into the camera body removes the need to design and mount separate illumination hardware. The short 6 mm focal length suits stations where the camera sits close to the target and needs a wide field of view.

The RGBW source is software-switchable, so the VisionMaster platform can fire different colour channels across successive frames to bring out surface texture or colour-contrast defects that a single fixed light would miss. Power draw rises to 16.6 W when the multi-colour light is active, reflecting the extra load of driving integrated illumination. The camera still carries the SC6000 platform’s VGA output and USB host port for direct on-site setup.

Where it is used

The integrated light and short focal length make it practical for close-range inspection of small parts — fasteners, connectors — where a wide viewing angle at short working distance is needed. The switchable colour channels are useful when surface scratches, stains, or texture differences need to be highlighted under different light colours to become visible. It’s a good single-unit choice for compact stations where mounting a separate light source isn’t practical.
