HIKROBOT MV-SC5100XC-08M-WBN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

This model pairs the SC5000X family’s 10MP color sensor with a fixed 8 mm wide-angle lens. At 4096 × 2816 resolution and 10 fps, it’s built for capturing a wide area in a single frame from a short working distance. Because it retains a wide field of view even up close, it suits stations that need to image large parts — or many small ones — in one shot.

The VisionMaster software stack unlocks more than 140 algorithms, with an AI deep-learning engine handling object recognition, defect detection and OCR directly on the camera. Multiple I/O lines and support for several communication protocols make wiring into existing PLC-based lines straightforward. IP67 protection keeps the wide-angle optics safe from dust and moisture on the shop floor.

Where it is used

The wide field of view is well suited to counting and locating many small parts at once as they pass on a conveyor — fasteners, electronic components, packaging units. The short working distance also pays off in compact cells where mounting space is tight. Color imaging lends itself to logo/label color verification and sorting mixed-color parts.
