HIKROBOT MV-SC5050XC-00C-NNN — Smart Cameras & Vision Sensors

The MV-SC5050XC-00C-NNN is the 5-megapixel (2432×2048) color model in the SC5000X series, using a C-Mount connection that accepts external lenses. Its global-shutter CMOS sensor, with a 1/1.45″ optical format and 3.45 µm pixels, captures up to 60 fps. With no built-in lens or light source, optics and illumination are left entirely to the integrator to match the application.

The camera runs on 24 VDC and draws 10 W, lower than the models with a built-in light source since illumination is supplied externally. Supporting both RGB 8 and Mono 8 pixel formats, along with TCP, UDP, ModBus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and a Gigabit Ethernet interface, it integrates readily into line automation.

Where it is used

The C-Mount design lets integrators try different lenses for color inspection tasks that need a non-standard magnification or working distance, such as print quality checks, color-based sorting or label verification. Paired with a suitable external light source, it can also handle color imaging of oddly shaped parts where a standard built-in illuminator would not be sufficient.

Suitability depends on working distance, field of view, target characteristics and positioning. Selection is assessed on a per-project basis.
